Cafe in Bali

The project

One island,
one seat at a time

Cafe in Bali is a walking journal — photographs and short notes from cafes found while moving through the island. Visited first, shared second.

Why this exists

Bali has no shortage of cafe lists. Most of them feel like they were written from a desk. This one is built from the seat — the light in the room, the sound outside, the cup that made the stop worth remembering.

Every place here was visited in person, photographed, and noted briefly. No scraped directories. No star ratings. Just a personal archive that grows as the island does.

How a cafe lands here

  1. 01

    Find it on foot

No advance shortlist required — just riding, walking, and noticing a room that feels right.

  2. 02

    Sit, then shoot

A real stop first. Photos after the coffee arrives, when the place has settled into itself.

  3. 03

    Write a short note

A few lines about light, pace, or why it stuck — enough to remember, not enough to spoil.

What this is not

  • Not a ranking of “best cafes in Bali.”
  • Not a complete guide — only places actually visited.
  • Not a booking site or review marketplace.
